In a Nuremberg hourly hotel, drag artist Elias Schaller (Moritz Bock) is found brutally stabbed to death. For Chief Inspector Felix Voss (Fabian Hinrichs) and his new colleague Emilia Rathgeber (Rosalie Thomass), everything initially points to a violent crime in the red-light district. Countless traces of DNA from past clients are found by the forensic team (Matthias Egersdörfer and Lisa Sophie Kusz). Identifying them seems hopeless—like looking for a needle in a haystack. And there is no trace of the murder weapon. Wanda Goldwasser's (Eli Wasserscheid) research leads the investigators to the picturesque region of Gottesgarten, where Elias grew up. His parents (Horst Kummeth and Jule Gartzke) react very differently to their son's death. Little by little, the case turns out to be a complex puzzle that ultimately raises the big question of law and justice.
