Sörensen has been battling his own demons ever since he stopped taking medication for his anxiety disorder. Then a young, disturbed woman turns up in the small Frisian community of Katenbüll: malnourished, in a nightgown and blind. When Sörensen finally finds out her address, a web of murder, religious delusion and well-kept secrets opens up to him. The detective not only has to deal with taciturn and suspicious neighbors, but also becomes increasingly aware of the consequences of discontinuing his medication.
