After a two year break from his working life, detective chief superintendent Sörensen gets relocated to a calm village in Friesland. Soon his wish for a leisurely everyday life at the police station gets thrown over by a murder and his anxiety disorder. First the mayor is found dead, then a boy disappears without a trace. Sörensen gets beaten up. The situation in the village gets confusing and Sörensen feels under pressure.
