Born in Stuttgart in 1958. After training and working as a banker, he attended the College of Media (FH für Druck) in Stuttgart and obtained his engineering degree in the field of media technology.

He then worked as production assistant, location and production manager, and line producer of documentaries, feature films and TV movies.

From 1993 to 1998, he worked as a production accountant at Claussen+Wöbke Filmproduktion and other production companies on documentaries, feature films, and TV movies; he also worked as completion bond controller for the film “Never-Ending Story III”.

From 1994 to 1999, he was the production accountant at Kinowelt Filmproduktion.

From 1998 to the present, he has been in charge of the evaluation, controlling, and reporting for all films produced by Claussen+Wöbke Filmproduktion, Kinowelt Filmproduktion, and MTM. He has also been a guest lecturer at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF Munich) since 2004.

In 2004 he became business manager and shareholder of Claussen+Wöbke+Putz Filmproduktion as well as business manager of Starhaus Filmproduktion.
